Bradesco’s Code of Ethical Conduct serves as a practical guide to orient all, including administrators, employees, interns, apprentices, third parties, service providers, suppliers, business partners, and correspondents in Brazil, or companies linked to the Group. This Code reinforces the Organization’s principles and values, which are applied in all daily interactions and decisions to promote consistent ethical conduct across all institutional levels.

The Code’s content is accessible through the Organization’s Normative System and is an integral part of the onboarding process for new employees. Each new hire receives a welcome letter instructing them to access the Code within 30 days. Adherence to the Code is formalized upon completing a mandatory online course, followed by a post-test, ensuring employees understand and adhere to established standards.

From the Foundation to the Updated Code of Ethical Conduct

Ethics has always been a fundamental pillar of Bradesco’s operations since its foundation. The Bank’s Internal Regulations were implemented in 1944, providing for the importance of ethics as a distinguishing feature of the company. In the early 1970s, employees assuming leadership roles formalized their commitment to ethical principles by signing a Declaration of Principles, laying the groundwork for ethical conduct in their professional activities.

These principles evolved and culminated in the creation of Bradesco’s Code of Ethical Conduct, formalized in 2003 and updated on February 10, 2020. The latest update was on September 25, 2024. The update aimed to align the Code with best practices in Corporate Governance and Sustainability, incorporating current themes and reinforcing guidelines that steer the Organization’s activities, both internally and externally.

The Role of the Integrity and Ethical Conduct Committee

The Integrity and Ethical Conduct Committee, whose members are appointed by the Board of Directors of Banco Bradesco S.A., is the body responsible for managing and enforcing the ethical codes, promoting their dissemination, and ensuring compliance by all administrators, employees, interns, apprentices, and collaborators.

Effective dissemination of the Code of Ethical Conduct is supported by various awareness-raising and training initiatives, including e-learning courses (TreiNet), its inclusion in managerial training programs, in-person courses, training videos, and other internal marketing strategies aimed at ensuring the understanding and application of these principles at all levels of the organization.

This program includes a set of policies, standards, and procedures designed to prevent corruption risks, monitor and detect misconduct, and ensure a swift response from senior management to harmful acts, under Law 12,846/2013 (Anti-Corruption Law) and international legislation.

It is composed of a set of policies, standards, and procedures aimed at the prevention, monitoring, detection, and response to harmful acts as outlined in Law 12,846/2013 – Anti-Corruption Law, as well as applicable international legislation.
