NORMATIVE FRAMEWORK

We have developed policies, standards and guidelines for the management of themes that permeate our activities concerning Sustainability. Check out here.

VOLUNTARY COMMITMENTS

Our work agenda on the theme of sustainability is reinforced by the engagement in various initiatives related to sustainable development and through adherence to corporate initiatives and voluntary commitments.

Environment and Climate Change

Renewable energies: 100% of the operations of Bradesco have been powered by renewable energy sources since the end of 2020. The initiative made the Organization one of the largest financial institutions in the world to complete the transition.

• Carbon Offset: We neutralized 100% of the greenhouse gas emissions (equivalent to carbon) generated by the operations of the Organization¹ from 2019 onwards –Bradesco being the first Brazilian bank to take on this level of carbon offset.

¹According to the scopes considered in the inventory of GHG emissions of Bradesco published in the Public Register of Emissions of the GHG Protocol Program.

Adherence to the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials

Bradesco became the first Brazilian bank to join the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).

The aim of this initiative is to promote international collaboration between banks, investors and fund managers in order to develop a harmonized methodology for measuring and disclosing the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the portfolios of financial institutions.

By participating in it, we can improve the analyses of climatic risks in our business and expand our capacity to engage and offer financial solutions that support our customers in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Affiliation with the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture

Bradesco became a signatory to the Coalition in an effort to combine forces with other companies and civil society organizations in promoting policies and initiatives that will help push Brazil towards a low-carbon, sustainable and inclusive economy.
